SPORTS NIGHT (take 2) — again, Sports Night was delayed … so no volleyball … I “played” basketball again … my calves are rock hard.
Superbowl Party @ SJVC seminary
SOCIAL — The Sophomore class was in charge of any AWESOME Superbowl Party. Great game. Great fellowship. AWESOME FOOD (so much, I couldn’t take pictures of all if it … missed the chocolate bread pudding & ice cream).
At half-time, they brought out the killer casadias and chicken wings. — “More Priests Less Pounds” diet is suspended tonight … in memory of all this food!
flag football @ SJVCS
SPORTS — before tonight’s Superbowl game, we played some flag-football. — only minor injuries … wrists … knees … pride … etc.
nite volleyball
SPORTS — after our Rector’s Conference, there was outdoor volleyball. — Great time.
volleyball basketball
SPORTS NIGHT — another awesome Tuesday with volleyball & basketball. I get so excited about volleyball, that I forget to take any pictures. Maybe next time.
BLOG STATUS — this is actually my first post this month. In some extra personal effort to get more engaged in seminary life by staying diligent to my “goals,” especially a Holy Hour everyday, I haven’t had much time to even download my pictures from my cellphone. Yesterday, with the extension of 2 paper due dates, it gave me some breathing room to get some posts ready (I’ll be backdating them). — Thank you for all your prayers and support! God bless & be holy.
ultimate frisbee
Friday afternoon usually has some outdoor team sports like soccer, baseball, flag football. Today is Ultimate Frisbee. I did not part and covered for someone.
ReBall paintball
Still on Thanksgiving break, I checked out a new type of paintball … “reball.” A place in Deerfield Beach called ReBall Madness had an indoor field with inflatable bunkers. The “painballs” are actually made of rubber shot at 240 feet per second (as opposed to 300 fps for regular paint-balls), so they’re reusable, hence “re-balls.” It’s about $45 for 3 hours play with endless air & ammo. They also have party packages so we can get a group rate of $500 for up to 15 players (including mask, guns & ammo) … comes out to $35 each … a great deal for paintball. Maybe we can get a group of guys from the seminary there one day. — I’d rather get guys into airsoft, cuz it’s cheaper and can play anywhere.
